Current opportunities focus on building research infrastructure to support high-quality evidence synthesis, developing resources for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and contributing to clinical research designed to improve our understanding of effective interventions.
Current Opportunity: Building Meta-Analysis Databases
The TREAT Lab is actively seeking students interested in helping develop comprehensive databases of clinical trials evaluating psychological treatments for gambling disorder and substance use disorders. These databases will serve as important resources for future systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and research projects examining treatment outcomes and mechanisms of therapeutic change.
Individuals involved in this work will gain experience with:
- Organizing and managing research databases
- Screening and coding published studies
- Coding study characteristics, treatment information, and outcomes
- Evaluating methodological quality and risk of bias
- Applying systematic review and meta-analytic methods
